Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical upcoming Hindi movie starring Alia Bhatt in the pivot role. The director of the movie is Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced under the banner of Bhansali Productions and Pen India Limited.

The film is revolving around the life of one of the famous Mafia queens madams of brothels in Kamathura, Mumbai’s infamous Red Light area. Gangubai Kothewali, as she was known in her days in the 1960s, was the mistress of several brothels in Kamathipura. Due to his contacts in the underworld, he held out immense power and influence.

Gangubai Kathiwadi Film Release Date
The film was initially all set to theatrical release on 11th September 2020. But due to the Coronavirus pandemic situation all over the world makers has rescheduled it to July 30, 2021. However it is not confirmed yet, the movie will be released on OTT platforms or not.
