Recently Twitch has in a Twitter statement on January 6 removed Poggchump Emote from its platform after “the face of emotion,” Ryan ‘Gootecks’ Gutierrez, “encouraged … violence”. The platform is trying to create a new emote to replace the iconic image.

As per the shocking incidents of violence and rebellion in the Capitol building, Twitch has decided to the removal of the popular “Pogchamp” emote. The Pogchamp removal move has been decided after Emote’s creator, Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez, made inflammatory comments about the Capitol incident on his Twitter account, which are now being labelled as an attempt to incite further violence.

 Wit the hashtag title #MagMartyr, Gootecks attempted to show sympathy for a woman who died while the Trump supporter takeover, urging his followers to view graphic footage of her passing.

In response to this incident, Twitch quickly reacted by banning the beloved Pogchump / Poggers Emote, which has mostly become synonymous of the streaming and gaming community at large.

In its cleanliness, Twitch further announced that some they will be working with the gaming community to design the better replacement of the ban Pogchamp emote.

After the announcement, the community of gaming starts responding on Twitter with different kind of memes and text.

Talking about the ban PogChamp, one of the oldest and best emote on Twitch and it is used by so many people all over the world. It helps to easily convey the message and excitement and share a meme material.

The first appearance of Emote was in a cross-counter TV video from 2010, where Gootecks performed an exaggerated wide and open-mouthed face expression. When it became the face of publicity on Twitch.
