This decision has been taken by Twitch to reduce the risk of further violence. Recently, Trump was blocked from several platforms after a pro-Trump mob stormed in US capital on January 6.

Trump was also banned form a big platform like Facebook, Twitter on January 6 after the US capitol incident. However, experts have suggested that most of these restrictions will be re-enacted after Trump leaves office. The ban handed over to Trump means that the former US president will have no opportunity to appeal against the ban. It also prevents Trump from creating a new account on the platform until an indefinite suspension is lifted. As per the official statement from Twitch spokesperson to The Verge reads:
A Twitch spokesperson officially confirmed that one of the popular platforms suspended President Trump’s Twitch Channel because of the risk of inciting it to violence. The President’s official statement is to be interpreted as a call for continued action, and we are taking this action to remove the possibility of harm to our community and the general public.
However, the Twitch spokesman assured the future of the situation, it remains to be seen how long it takes before the former president returns to the social platform.
